Nothing like an easy hunt location!! Could be home every night. No monster bucks, but you have a wide range of lands to hunt.

Congrats on the tag! It will be cold so the herd will be pushed down from the peaks of the mountains plus it will be rutting season so the bucks will have something else other than self-preservation on their minds. Looking forward to some pics after your (hopefully) successful hunt!

Over the years I have taken a bull elk and 2 deer plus I play in the hills up there a lot so I am pumped.

Season opened today so I headed up the mountain in the RZR. Shot this nice little 3x3 at 8:30 AM and had it quartered and in the cooler by 1:00. I had a hard time getting the deer in the back seat of the RZR, he wanted to ride shotgun. Now trying to decide if we want heart, tenderloin, or back strap for dinner tonight.
