What bullet measures approximately .433” x 1.800” and sticks to a magnet? I found it in the desert. Could be military, black powder, anything. It’s a rifle round for sure though.

Yep. I've found them out in the middle of what I thought was nowhere, too.
Gen. Patton's training grounds roughly encompassed all of the unpopulated Southwest. All of what is now the MNP is part of it.

Lots of relics still out there!

If it is a core from a .50 BMG AP round it will be as hard as the gates of hell, if its from a ball round a file will cut it.
AP cores make good center punches.

eQ
