Ruger RedHawk and max loads

My 6 shot Redhawk in .480 is super accurate,the cylinder walls are really thin . But so far they stand up to book max loads with no problems. Must be some really tough SS .

Well, the .480 was made for people who couldn't handle the .475 Linebaugh. Just kidding; mostly. But it was specifically designed to be less powerful so that it could safely be used in six-shot Redhawks. Acquiring one remains on my list for absolutely no practical reason.
