Scammers are getting sneaky....

The OP actually cut and pasted this post from 2013
https://www.m14forum.com/threads/saw-an-interesting-410-yesterday.508663/

to several forums it look like he was legit!
http://nevadashooters.com/threads/saw-an-interesting-410-yesterday.156876/

https://www.carolinashootersclub.com/threads/saw-an-interesting-410-yesterday.360641/

https://www.hipointfirearmsforums.com/threads/saw-an-interesting-410-yesterday.335429/

Then he would look through the WTB Ads, sending people the familiar scam email of "my (friend/dad) has (item you are looking for). His email is (so and so)@gmail.com."

Yah, on the M14 forum, your Post TitanNV has now been quoted about 4 hours ago.....
"Hello. I'm on several forums and myself and several members from several different forums have noticed this individual john39 has been posting several of the same posts from other members from 2010 and up. Under his own name. Its been verified by 3 admins and a lot of tome tracking these post that to real owner of this account is CMG Carbon Media Group. We've been told for years they own our accounts this is the 1st time they have been caught using members posts as their own that I'm aware of. Here is a few links to posts they are using. Scammers are getting sneaky.... I'm probably going to be banned from several forums for this but members should know "

Often replying to the scammers e mail is opening you up to a phishing expedition, possible identity theft, and or ransom ware being inserted into your pc.

Not sure if there’s somewhere better to post it but I figured it may save someone the trouble. Had a pretty dumb scammer contact me about my WTB, number was 406-848-4471 (Montana) even though he said he was from SC. Here’s the ID he sent me along with the pics in case it helps anyone else out lol.

^^^ Yup, and he tried to register this evening as

IP address
149.57.29.5 and this is a VPN from Honolulu, Hawaii.

The pictures above are from The Firearms Blog, from an atricle back on 11 October 2019, by a Matt E.
So definitely a scammer, good catch, thanks.

Banned him.

Sadly, I lost Attack Cat 1 to kidney disease on 28 Sept 2021, and Attack Cat 2.0, to cancer on 6 September 2022, but I now have Attack CATS 3.0 and 4.0, a pair of Savannah cats (Half Serval, half common house cat) and they are ready, willing and able to deal with such interlopers, and being large cats, always hungry, so Scammers beware!
