Once I got finished with the '90, the Warden took the keys! So I got the red one for me.

I said mall crawler. Lol. Actually this was taken two years ago right after I got the new tires and it was still new to me. No trail pinstripe yet thankfully.

I'm curious. If you got to pick, 4.0 or 4.2? I had a Cherokee with the 4.0 and loved the torque!
4.0, of course. But I wish it was carbed. Simpler to work on.

My 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ. A few more mods and I'll have it where I want it!!
We had a '90 Cherokee. Couldn't keep it running.

Went through CPSs like they were free. And they always went out at the worst time. :nonod:

-

Traded it to Iweb for a shotgun. If I had known I'd be getting a YJ down the road, I would have kept it for parts.

The Customs Service bought a ton of the Cherokees in 1987-88 to bail out Chrysler. We had the same problems with the CPSs, and motor mounts. The 1997-99 models are considered to be the best years for the Cherokee xj. Mine has been rock solid so far, of course it only has 122,000 miles.

Talk about overpowered! :smile5:

I'm debating dropping an LS1 in the Warden's '90.

Just traded my 96 Corvette for a 98 Wrangler --- Now have all that DMV bullcrap to do today.....
I know it is late, but use speed pass and make an appointment. Twice last year I had to use DMV. Both times I made an appointment and arrived 15 mins early as they suggested, one was to renew my drivers lic. And the other was for reg. of a truck I bought from a private party. Both times I was done in less than 20 minutes.

Good Luck.
