Can someone ID this vehicle? I love the body style and pretty sure it’s a gen 4, 65-70 Impala.

I'm partial to the '59 with the wings, but everything '66- '72 catches my attention as well. I believe that's a '66, perhaps peep a '67 and see what you think about that as well.

My lotto car would be a 1969 R Code 428 SCJ* Mach 1. I would be happy, especially if it was parked next to the Jag E type V12 drop top I would also need.

I had a neighbor who spent several years restoring a 68 Impala SS to show condition and it was stolen less than a year after he finished it. Another neighbor was on his way home one morning after the night shift and found it in a ditch with the door open, not a scratch on it.

The PD asked if he was willing to drive it home for him to avoid impounding it. I was outside talking to him that morning when the car came up the street. The look on his face was priceless.

He got very lucky. I guess the thieves had second thoughts and decided to abandon it.

It looks to be 1966. I had a 66 Imp convertible in almost mint condition and a 64 and 68 Impala. I had to sell the 66 to pay for a van due to having our first kid. Sold the 64 and 68 because my new apartment complex wouldn't allow the extra non-working cars. Man, I wish I still had those cars!
