My 2017 2 door Jeep JK quickly got too heavy for our class C RV. The mighty V10 did not approve of the 5600 pound load and the PSC steering made the Jeep not want to turn when being towed. We decided to upgrade to a Super C, something that could tow 10-20k. Turns out Covid, chips, greed, and the supply chain have made new RV prices pretty high right now. So instead, we found a 1999 Chevy Tracker (it's really a Suzuki and 99 was the first year they dropped the Geo badge) that is half the weight of the Jeep. The Tracker is low miles at only 67,000 and has had some major work done recently. The previous owner wasn't really a mechanic and he serviced the master cylinder with power steering fluid. While they were towing it behind their monster diesel pusher, a panic stop resulted in the brakes locking up on the lil toad and it was drug until the tires flat spotted. It got new tires, every piece of the brakes replaced except the hard lines and new wheel well liners. Just prior to that it had new shocks and struts installed. So it was a clean lil 4 x 4, but had faded paint, yellow headlights, and the belt wipers (trim on the top outside of the doors that hold the seals) were baked brittle. I swapped headlights, sourced replacement belt wipers and did a complete servicing. Plugs, coils, fluids, etc. The soft top was okay, but pretty loud so we ordered a hard top from Rally Tops in LA. After a 6 week wait, we drove out there and they removed the soft top and installed the hard top in about an hour. Then we took it up to St George to get a fresh wrap. I would say it's ready for our spring mid west trip. (I didn't park it in the handicap spot - the wrap crew did)
