Mine is working perfectly, has some minor scratches on barrel, glass is clean, sharp. I wanted more distance, so this has to go. Has caps, no mounts or rings. Alpen is in California and warranties the scope for life, no matter who owns it. They will repair or replace with no hassles at all. That is great customer service.
