I'm working on restoring my old Remington 581 22lr rifle from the 70's. Thought it had been long gone until my mother dug up what was left of it out of her garage and gave it to me.
The bolt assembly is missing as are the sights. The trigger assembly probably needs to be replaced also. From the story she told me, my older brother stripped the parts off of it to put on his 582. Nevertheless, I'd like to find the parts locally, if possible and put it back together for my grandson. Not that interested in buying the parts off the internet.
A somewhat trashed but complete 580, 581, 582 would be okay if it wasn't too expensive and had the parts I was looking for.
