I’m interested in purchasing a very nice, five inch 1911 in .45 ACP. I’d love to find a gently used one from a member, but if you have some recommendations as to a great gun, I’d love to hear them. I have been searching the Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, and Nighthawk Customs sites for the last few days. I’d prefer something that looks great and like wood grips.

I was in that same boat. Couldn't find it, so I commissioned a great local gunsmith to make me exactly what I wanted. I visited him today and he is putting the final touches on it. It has been a year, and I may have it by Christmas. Mine is commander length, with an aluminum alloy frame. It has a lot of work to lighten and customize the slide too. Finished weight is about 20 ounces. Pretty special gun.

I have a LNIB Wilson Combat CQB in the rare Battle Tuff finish (usually only see in their ARs), and a new Nighthawk GRP I was gonna put up for sale soon. Both 5" 45s. If interested, lemme know

Blacklabsmatter, I’m very interested. I messaged my cell if you could text some pics. Sounds like you have a great collection. Do you have a preference between Wilson and Nighthawk.

Can't answer right now between the Nighthawk and the Wilson's; never shot the Nighthawk. I assume they are pretty similar. Both top notch gold standard of 1911's in my opinion. And yes, I'm sure someone will mention, pricey.

Got a custom 1911 NightHawk for sale that I guarantee you will not find a better value or equal build.

Let me know if you have an interest. I have it listed on this site.

Thanks Good To Go and RK1911. Very nice guns, but I'm not looking for a two tone.
