Round count? Is that an aftermarket trigger? What’s your tempting price?

Very nice pistol. Looking for unmodified cause they're cheaper. Hoping not to go over $1000.

I usually stay away from GB, but I was able to score an unfired, unmodified DA/SA P229 Legion, BNIB with all of the legion gear (coin, case, etc) in .40 cal for $900 shipped then only had to pay the $25 transfer fee from our favorite NewFrontier Armory. I know you mentioned P226, but the 229 is nice if you also want to consider CC with it from time to time - expanding your search to include the 229 might help you get a faster score if you are as impatient as I sometimes get.

TLDR: keep an eye on gunbroker too, deals can be had if you look carefully and often

If I could only own one sig it would probably be the 229, but since I have a one and I'm 226 less at the moment, thus the search. I'd consider a 226 tacops for the right price but I've owned one before. Never the legion.

ETA: I haven't purchased anything from GB since local shops started collecting tax. Well I take that back maybe a couple guns, but I noticed that they now all require that your FFL fax or email paperwork. Seems like just another hoop to jump through when they're already in the GB database.

I agree it's not as convenient to go through GB because of the FFL stuff, but I didn't have to pay any tax - my purchase was through a private party that had listed on GB
I am sure you've already thought about it, but you could always local search Armslist too and make offers, the worst they can say is no:
https://www.armslist.com/posts/10040667/las-vegas-nevada-handguns-for-sale--sig-p226-legion

Some dealers don't know the nuance between private party online purchase vs dealer purchase and are ollecting sales tax.
