I have 1 GSSF (Glock Sport Shooting Foundation) discounted pistol certificate for sale. $SOLD

Here is how it works:

1) You mail in the certificate to the Glock factory along with a copy of the local FFL that it will be shipped to.
2) Glock ships the pistol to your FFL usually within 4-20 weeks.
3) You pay your FFL transfer fee, and NO sales tax (Depending on your state)

The certificate is good for a Gen3,4 or 5 9mm-.40s&w-.357auto pistol. you can pay a small upgrade fee to upgrade to any Longslide (G34/35) model or .45/10mm pistol. you can zoom in on the cert for any upgrade costs.

This certificate has my name on it, however is fully transferrable.... Done on a GSSF transfer sheet they provide me.

Who could buy these that will NOT be taxed? The bottom of the form seems pretty clear; NV and 42'ish other states are taxable, is that covered with this cert?

As I understand it the tax is only on any upgrade fee for a non-standard model like the G34 etc.

Gen4 G34 is $92. MOS models are $156.

This is the explanation from a buddies ad in CA. Bear in mind there are extra steps in the CA process so disregard the DROS comments. My last transfer to a local dealer last week they did not collect tax on so I would assume that is the case here.

The pistol will ship directly from GLOCK, so it is akin to an out of state transfer, and the FFL may charge a service fee plus to receive the firearm plus DROS. However, since the certificate is an award, there is no Sales Tax to be collected except for on any upgrades (should you opt for them), but that will be collected by GLOCK.

So if your dealer did a dealer transfer and did not collect tax you got lucky. If you are doing a transfer through my shop, from out of state, and the seller did not collect sales tax, NV says I must collect the tax. As of right now the only exception to this is PPT.

And I think this is the key point here. The gun is "free" per the award so there is no taxable event except on upgrades where there is a financial transaction and on those Glock collects the tax. NFA & Freedom firearms are the 2 GSSF dealers that I am aware of in Vegas and should be familiar with the program.

Yes gift is no tax. If there is an invoice with any amount that hasn’t been taxed then it’s taxed. So there’s the hint. If you ever transfer a weapon from out of state it was a “gift” every time.

I have purchased 4 of these certificates in the past, and have never paid a single penny in sales tax when picked up from the FFL. The invoice from Glock shows NO firearm value for the FFL dealer to tax. You will only pay tax on the upgrades, and that is paid directly to Glock when you submit the cert.

If you’re a patient person, these certs are a great way to pay less for a new Glock
