Since before the election panics the K31s have gone up in value and I have decided its time to let one go. I kept this one as my safe queen. I have an M1A but always wanted a Carbine so thats my primary goal here but I will entertain a Garand offer.

****EDIT***** If a K31 doesnt interest you, request pics of one ot my Sino Soviet SKS' and what youd give me for it if it met your approval and ill add them to later replies. ****EDIT*****

Rifle is all matching and was fired once upon purchase (12 rounds) to ensure it worked properly. Rifle has been maintained according to the Swiss regiments of Waffenfett. New 31s run a thousand on the few retailers selling them. Rifle comes with original sling and I will ad a brick of GP 11 (I think theyre 200 rounds, will double check) if ammunition is offered in kind, along with 1 original stripper clip. Original model but not matching bayonet is available if needed if your gun has one and you want to make it fair. Willing to trade in Pahrump.

All I ask is that the gun for trade, like this one, be rust free and in good working order. All K31 stocks are a little chewd up at the bottom so I dont mind some stock dings but major cracks are a different story. As for carbines, no preference (although a good graded war version would be fantastic) as to wartime (2 and Korea) original or modern repro as long as its one of the better repro companies and includes the bayonet lug. If no trade can be worked out perhaps a cash offer will be acceptable, but the trade is my priority here.

**Photos 1-6 shown, the rest shown in replies.

To clarify this rifle is in Vegas near BD and Durango but for the right trade willing to leave Clark County for Pahrump or as far north as Moapa. Gun was originally a C&R purchase.

I loves me some K31. When you could get the rifle for $350 and GP11 for $0.50 they were the best kept secret in C&R land. A virtual modern sniper rifle with match grade ammo for less than $500? Holy crap Batman that’s a great deal.

Even at $1000 that’s a fair value for the quality of rifle the K31 is.

I love my ZFK 55

Hope you find your trade. Bump.

Thanks. It was why I got 2 when I did, I knew one day theyd get up there in price. i may be trading way too early if swiss lugers are any indication on where theyre going. i just really want a carbine or a garand and never had a chance to get one so I figure since what 31s sell for now is what someone paid for a carbine or garand sitting in a safe. A year ago I wouldnt even consider this a remotely fair trade but since I already have one I plan to keep forever I am hoping offering this up gets me another rifle I plan to keep forever. we talked about your zfk once before. Fantastic rifle. All 31s are so good its hard to let one go or pick a favorite. BUT if someone bites on it I will gladly do it.

You DO NOT have to ACCEPT cash for an item that you ONLY want to trade, the reason for stating the cash value is so that the person who is considering a potential trade offer is given some idea of what you expect in the way of condition and value of the item they are offered in exchange for what they have listed as wanting to only trade for.

This one probably isnt happening so lock her up I guess.

Yes they do, This isn’t an auction site!
This rifle was being traded for a rifle that is currently of equal value. No auction was implied. Even the Sino Soviet I added as an option later costs the same as either rifle.

Don't the rules require a cash price even for trade listings?
K31 for M1 Garand or Carbine. Not K31 for cash. As Nyeco pointed out it met the requirements. I was not interested in taking cash for the rifle. Current K31 fair value is about 750 for a rifle like this one yet retailers are charging 1k to 1100 for any including ones in rough shape. When you add the amount of GP11 ammunition, the bayonet which sells for 150 in its own right or did a few years back and even if you want to compare it with a now sold out Service CMP garand of the same price with ammo thrown in, it was safe to figure someone had either rifle they paid far less for that would be happy to trade for a tack driver I also paid far less for, only in their case they could happily turn around and make a profit whereas I would like either to complete my collection. There are still carbines going for 800 at Big 5, I missed one a month ago and tried to get lucky here.

Thanks for clarifying. Sorry if I was in the wrong. I figured stating their current sales price had me covered. Just lock er up please.

While this is still open if anyone should see I was looking to do this, down the road from now stumbling by, that wants to get rid of either a decent working M1 Carbine or decent working Garand for this K31 just drop me a message. I wont be checking further replies in the event my request to lock it was missed. Sorry for any confusion.
