7mm Remington Magnum, or 7mm Shooting Times Westerner (as posted by the other forum member).

Had actually never heard of 7mm STW so I looked it up, and it IS a different caliber than 7mm Rem Magnum.

I can't get a good enlargement, but it appears to be a sporterized US M1917 action? It would have some Mauser features, and would be a fantastic action for such a rifle.

What markings are on it, including barrel for exact chambering?

It's gorgeous.

Yep, definitely a beautiful US M1917 action. The bolt is a Winchester, but it's quite common to have mixed parts on those rifles. They were made by Winchester, Remington, and Eddystone (a Remington factory).

Where are all the hunters ?
This is a nice gun
They're all out huting with the equipment they already owned and sighted in lol. Seasons are in full swing.

Hunting rifles are about the only things still on shelves right now.
