Model number MDR-01

This sight was installed on a rifle that I just recently purchased. It was purchased new a few months ago, I've fired it and can attest to it working perfectly. That said, I'm old school and prefer iron sights and scopes, do not like red dots, so I have no use for it. Price is $100 cash. I'm in Carson City. I do travel up to Reno fairly regularly, usually at least once a week, so I can potentially meet up there as well depending on timing/scheduling.

Trades considered for the red dot: Magpul AR PMags, Canik 18 or 20 round Mec-Gar magazines, ammo cans, or who knows? Let me know what you have.

If you post "I'll take it", you MUST also PM me shortly thereafter or I will assume you are not in fact serious about purchasing it. When you PM me, please make sure you leave your phone number so I can call you.

See second post for nine AR-15/M4 magazines I'm also selling.

Thanks!

Also selling nine AR-15/M4 magazines. I've switched to all Magpul mags and have no use for these. Seven of them are 30 rounders, two are ten rounders. Two Tapco, one Thermold, two grey Okay Industries(New Britain) aluminum, two black C Products aluminum, and the two unknown brand steel ten rounders. Selling as a lot for $50. I can also sell them loaded with steel case Tulammo for $115. Not looking to sell them individually, sorry. Same PM/I'll take it rules apply as detailed in first post.

Its a hard price point for the Nikon RDS. While it retails higher, it really has not had a lot of market penetration and it is up against widely known RDS such as the Sig Romeo 5 and Vortex SparcII (sale prices) around that price point. And that opinion and 99c can get you two tacos at Jack in the Box :)

That's exactly why I asked. I don't study the market for red dots so I don't really know what they sell for used. Just saw that it retailed for $249 and assumed almost $100 off would be fair. But if they routinely go cheaper on sale, that obviously changes things.

What do you think a fair price would be?

Hard to say, Sam. But it is a hard sell when the potential buyer can pick up either the Sig or Vortex for about the same price (or less on a good sale). Barring someone who really wants that particular item, I think you'll need to be a bit under those to get a bite.

Add on top of that it is rolling up to Christmas when funds might be tight for some potential buyers and timing may also be adding to the lack of movement.

Indeed, just prior to Christmas is a tough time to sell many things for a fair market price. That's alright, I don't mind sitting on it until after new year's, but if the price is too high it won't make any difference how long I wait. So with that in mind, I'll make it a "best reasonable offer" sale.

No shipping, local cash only. I don't use Paypal or any of that other electronic BS. Yes, I know that is pretty limiting considering 90% of this site is in Vegas, but that's how it goes sometimes.
In that case, I would try craigslist. Bigger audience and free!

Except not, because firearm related ads on craigslist get flagged and removed quick.
Wrong! Guns and mags yes. No problem with optics. Plenty for sale there every day. I mentioned it because you asked specifically about the red dot. GLWS.

Sigh. I'm not wrong, take a look at Reno craigslist and see how many firearm related items of any kind you see for sale. I'm a craigslist power user, have been for 17 years now, this ain't my first rodeo. I watch craigslist like a hawk. Things do occasionally get posted, and they get flagged and removed quickly. I know, I've had my own ads for anything firearm related flagged. Why would I post things here for sale on this forum when it has a tiny fraction of the market share vs. craigslist? Because I know from experience that Reno craigslist is not an effective medium through which to advertise firearm related items.

Now go on and follow your tootsies before I start posting more yawn gifs.

Much different excuse than they remove gun related items. I made a suggestion that I thought might be helpful. Doesn't work for you? Different Strokes for different folks.
You mean the gif I first posted that you liked and now use?
