Not for nothing but I really like my taurus g2c and the g3c is out now. Both will fit your budget and the only bad things I can say about the gun, objectively is that the trigger pull is long. IMHO you can't do better for under $500 and they sell for under $400!

G2C was my first gun. Probably have like 4K rounds through it and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever had any issues with it. Also, the Keep Tinkering trigger kits for it are like $30. Or I believe the G3C is like $60 more than the G2 and I believe it has an upgraded trigger.
