I've got a stripped Glock 17 Gen 2 frame and would eventually like to make a complete pistol. I look at the Gun Buster listings every once in a while but haven't found anything older than Gen 3. I'm open to any configuration that makes it a working pistol again. Just seems wrong to let it lie in a drawer feeling impotent.

Are Gen 1 and Gen 2 fully compatible?

Gen 2 and 3 should be compatible unless I'm remembering wrong.

I probably have most of the parts leftover from my Glock days.

(LPK) Lot of the onliine companies have thwm in stock for about $50!
For a Gen 1 or 2? I've seen countless kits for Gen 3+. If you can share a link, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks! Never heard of them! That's encouraging to know they are out there. I'll see what else they have and go from there. Thank you!

Add $30.00 or so for a locking block.
Yeah, I remember that from when I was looking before. Seems even with the later generations, those were hard to find, because most frame kits came with one or something like that. That kit linked above doesn't have it in the list, and I don't see it for sale separately. But after that, slides or kits for them should be easy enough. Lots of people dumping old slides.

I don't know enough about Glocks or remember much about what research I did when I looked for the parts last time, so at least now I'm getting some good leads.

Yeah. Most LPK do not include the locking block. People forget that and it is the most expensive part in the frame. Can’t tell you how many people over the years ordered LPK and forgot the locking block.
