Looking to let go my smith and wesson 442-1. It's in very nice shape overall with only a slight turn line on the cylinder and some slight finish loss. Pre lock so no ugly hole in the frame. It all functions as it should and comes with the original blue s&w box and two additional grips(one of those being the originals) it currently has Hogue grips installed. Also comes with 5 speed loaders.

Looking to get 380$ buyer pays any transfer fees.

Adding ruger mini 14 GB Model in 223. This model came from the factory with a flash hider and bayonet lug/front sight combo. It was a previous law enforcement trade in when I got it and had some surface rust on the barrel underneath the handguard by the gas system that left some pitting but nothing to affect function or safety its only cosmetic. I've included photos of it so you know what you're getting. It has a new recoil spring installed. It comes with 1 ruger factory 20 round magazine and 2 brand new 20 round pro mags and a new handguard(current has a small chip on the edge that can't be seen when installed but still stays on and locks in place just fine. Looking to get $750 for this buyer pays transfer fees. Will include 250 rounds of 223 lax ammo reloads for an extra 50$ or buy the ammo separately for 100$

The only nice thing about new guys making their absurd offers in the classified instead of a message, is that the rest of the forum knows what they're about and to not barter with them as well..

To be fair we were all new once, and while its low at least hes offering something. I agree that offers should be confined to private messages but if others dont mind their business in the open thats their choice.

Like it or not, like the other gentleman said, at least im offering something. The gun itself is like 450 brand new . 400 on a good day used ... so since this new BS law requires transfer fees and crap including a background check thats required by law even if I havea ccw , why would i spend near brand new pricing for something used.
So yes, i offered less than asking price ... whats really absurd is people with guns that are 450 brand new asking dang near full price for what they have... its a S&W 442.... not exactly your collectors piece ...

What you said is very true. However if you notice this is not a newer smith with the Hilary hole and mim parts so to a smith guy it is worth more IMO

How much does this model weigh? Does it conceal pretty good as a pocket carry gun?
I don't know the exact weight but it's pretty light and feels good with the Hogue grips on it but if you want minimal foot print I would go with the original grips which are included if you want to go that route .

Not trying to threadjack. Figured i might be able to help advise.
Its essentially the same as my wifes 642 LS. It carries well in a pocket. Lightweight and with a proper pocket holster you cant really even tell. An airweight should weigh 15~ oz unloaded.
Im basically trying to help sell it before i mess around and buy it somehow. LoL

Thanks for the reference, looking for something that would be nice for the summer, isn't too light to handle +P .38spl, but not too heavy, I'm looking to run HSTs in one when I get it. What do you run/recommend?

Thanks for the reference, and thank you seller for insight as well.

I personally load it with 110 hornady lite .38spl for low recoil low flash. I have shot +p out of it, and dont have any problem ha dling recoil with any grips ive used.
My wife doesnt have any problem putting a few cylinders through it every time we go to the range. Even with the slim presentation grips. She likes shooting her Mod 15 better but its a 4" model with target trigger and hammer. The 642 is much easier to carry though.
