I don't have anything to sell, . . advice is free, perhaps what it's worth. If you can scrape together a hundred more, that'd open up many more choices. In that range you'll find some nice guns besides the current crop of small plastic frame striker fired guns, though some of which are good I'm told. If you lean towards traditional, such as a Sig P238 (.380) or P938 (9mm), both small, metal frame, single action, exposed hammer guns with the style and function similar to the 1911, there should be some in that price range, along with some of the more recent flood of small striker fired guns, but read reviews.

If you’re looking under 400 something like the Taurus GX4 might be your best bet. Solid at the price and looks like bass pro has it in stock.

I'll take your advice on that and up my budget. Thanks for the good advice.

Why not just buy a new EC9S at Sportsman's Warehouse.
I have both the EC9S and LC9S Pro. Both are reliable with no issues.
