Thank you for the warning. There are several reasons someone would ask you that question. None of them good. Cop, crook, too young, has a record doesn't live in NV or has bad intentions he needs a throw away not connected to him gun.

... or they could just value their privacy and believe in the concept of "shall not be infringed". That said, as it would be illegal in NV to do a sale that way, nothing good can come from engaging in that discussion. Over 30 states will allow private party sales, but Nevada is not one of them.

Nonsense. Could just be they live like a free man, like Nevada was (in this regard) up to a mere half-dozen years ago. I've several times asked for the same thing. Many times, I've gotten the sale. A very few times, I didn't. Some of those latter ones are still for sale months later. Ha Ha.
The law that requires a background check on private party sales went into effect 1/1/2020 correct? So theoretically, any firearm that was purchased before that can be sold now to anyone without a background check because there’s no way to prove if you sold it after the law went into effect. A person could just say, “I sold it on 12/31/2019 at 11:59pm.” Conversely, any firearm purchased from an FFL after 1/1/2020 would have a 4473 paper trail showing you took possession after the law went into effect thus meaning there’d have to be another 4473 trail as proof you sold it. Either way, buying/selling any firearm here to a complete stranger without a background check is a huge risk I’d never take… Five-0

The law is the law, it is not a debate. Does anyone know of a single person that has been charged, much less tried and convicted of a violation? Of course not. I could not find a record for a single conviction...
The fact is no enforcement provision was devised or instituted when the pushed this law through. No provisions were made to service the demand, no additional staff hired to support it. The police and sheriffs have real crime to deal with, nobody is running a sting to try taking legal guns away from people. It has no teeth.
I would not personally admit anywhere that I have circumvented or ignored any law, as there is a statute of limitations and any confession should be kept to religious institutions. Much like what happens in with a late night booty call, what happens between two people could kept private... who would ever know then?
Do keep in mind that the unenforced law has no bearing on buyers, anyway. Have I transferred guns to others, though? Okay, okay, YES, that, too! This is also the internet, and I'm really just a 12-yr-old Chinese girl.

Better not buy or sell anything without president Brandons approval, guys. Its probably the law or something.
I'm not telling anybody else what to do with their money or time. Acting like only criminals dont want to deal with this BS BGC scam inflating the cost of our rights is nonsense though.
If you perceived this as unusual then, maybe take a closer look at YOUR ad. Your not listing anything regarding requirements for transfer , matter of fact you may even have some provocative language there...and perception is everything.
"For sale Glock 26 550. Open to offer. Great double stack sub compact small holster wear but little use on it sub few hundred rounds down range. Mostly using to find a build/project."
Guys, don't quote the phone number, please. Hopefully, the OP will remove it, soon, and I've reported the thread to the mods to ask them to remove it (the number, not the thread). It's a good idea to remove it from your quotes, too.
