I have this old Colteer 1-22 sitting around that I'll never do anything with and is taking up space. I was told at one time that it doesn't have a firing pin but I don't really know much about it other than it is old and only about 25,000 were made. The condition appears to be decent, the wood stock is a little rough but I don't see any cracking and I don't see any rust. The bolt moves freely, the trigger resets and pulls, front and rear iron are present, and the safety appears functional so it probably wouldn't require much effort to get it going. Asking $300 OBO, standard rules apply.

If not completely missing, the tip of the firing pin may be broken off from dry firing. Rimfire needs a cartridge or snap cap to prevent the firing pin from hitting bare steel. Good luck with sale, looks like a good single-shot for teaching beginners.

Nah... it is rimfire so the firing pin doesn't look like a centerfire pistol, it is just missing as Dr. Marneaus pointed out.

These were noted for breaking the firing pin, and when that happened, the nose of the pin often fell out and was lost.
The firing pin on these is rectangular in cross section, and judging by the looks of the chamber, it was dry fired and that's probably what broke the pin.
Easy to replace the pin, and easy to iron out the ding in the chamber. Great little single shot at a good price, you don't see these very often anymore, and as noted, usually very accurate.

Thanks for the info. If it doesn’t sell, maybe I’ll acquire a firing pin and see if I can make it work for fun.
