Looking for a Ruger P89 for nostalgic reasons. If anyone has one in real good condition they are willing to part with at a reasonable cost, please let me know. Prefer the stainless variety but will consider a blued/black one too.

Thanks!

Clunky, heavy, not real pretty... but always my favorite pistol to shoot!
Good luck!
For all these reasons and a couple of more, it is for nostalgic and sentimental reasons that I am looking! But I agree, a fun pistol to shoot.

Thanks for the good luck wishes.

My first handgun (that I purchased) was a P89. Bought it from a friend of my ex-housedragon that decided he didn’t want to have a gun in the house. He had never fired it.

As things sometimes go when you are young and just starting out on your own in the world, times got a little tough and I decided to sell the Ruger to help make the ends meet. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have gotten rid of the housedragon then and kept the P89. Ah, hindsight…. Oh well…what are ya gonna do? Find another and keep on trucking.

RRH#178,
Last August after 25 years I sold my
SS "P85" $300 It was built like a Tank.
I know you're looking for a Ruger p89 I had one also and there's not a whole lot of difference p89 had a just a decocker. They are pretty similar in looks.
Good luck
Jim

Bought a pretty much brand new condition p89 off of this forum last week for 250$. Giving it to my dad for his 55th birthday next week. This model ruger was his first pistol he bought and figured this would be a nice blast from the past gift. Hope you find one!

Story of my life....Missed it by thaaaat much! :ROFLMAO:

Nice score! That is just like the first pistol I ever purchased. Your dad is a lucky man, and not just because he is getting a cool pistol.

Well you guys don't disappoint. Pretty good group of guys and gals on this forum. I appreciate all the comments and well wishes. Two members came through and looks like I am going to be able to enjoy the nostalgia of owning another P89 (or 2 :p). Special thanks to @retired navy guy and @DRZ556! I really appreciate you guys.
