This is a project car needs to be finished runs great rebuilt 427-450hp not matching numbers 400 turbo Trans new tubular front end new disc brakes in front new drums in the rear needs wheels and tires and lots of trim work new paint This car belongs to a friend that passed away before he could finish it I'm trying to help the wife out asking 40k OBO

I am not aware of any chevrolet engines with a front distributor and without a coolant passage in the intake manifold. That engine looks like a B-block Mopar wedge.
There is no Chevy motor with the distributer in the front you are correct that’s a big block dodge.

Buick and Cadillac had front distributors, but they were tilted to the drivers side.

Yes, the blue engine is a big block Mopar 440, and the "orange" engine is a big block 427.
The Chrysler 440 was a damned good engine.

A big block in an A body 😎😁
Many moons ago I had a chance to purchase a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda (not 'Cuda) with a factory 383 Magnum big block.
The price was $1,200. Really regret it.
Also a chance to get a 1968 Mercury Cougar with a factory 390 big block, which was a rare option. Most Cougars were small blocks. Growing up in the 60'and 70's was a glorious time.
