The co-pilot looks awesome. Makes my .45-70 guide gun look like junk!

Do you start with a Marlin 1895?

Yes, we start with the Marlin, for now. As far as the wait time, until our Vegas shop up fully up and running most of the work is still being done in Anchorage, so it's about three months if you order now. I should be up and running here just after the first of the year, so that time my shrink in the next few months.

google "Wild West Guns CoPilot" and check images.

Also check their facebook.

Pretty slick setup! marlin 1895 chopped to 16.5", ported, wild west guns trigger happy trigger, wild west guns bear proof ejector, converted for take down, re-chambered in their proprietary .457 magnum (can still fire .45-70), upgraded sights, forward mounted low power scout scope...and so on.

These things seem to be gorgeous and well liked...but that appears to come at a price! Although I'm positive it's well worth it, it's far far far beyond my means at this point in life haha.

Maybe i'd be able to have my guide gun chopped and ported some day though

It sure is! I'd love to go check one out. This seems to be a gun with a CLEAR purpose though, and I would have no real use for it other than impressing my friends....and my stock 1895 guide gun does that well enough.

Don'tcha wish money grew on trees?

I held that little sweetheart in my hands today. It is very, very nice. Size, weight and balance in incredible. The trigger is so smooth it feels like 1 1/2lb although I was told that it is 3lb. The scope is clear and very functional with a basic sight. The way this thing is built and comes apart shown great thought and execution in it's design. All I can say is...WOW. Good job Jim West.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words on our Copilot. We have four of them here at our Vegas shop for you all to come in and check out. Also, I'll send a couple with our crew to the Crossroads show this weekend.
