WTB Cheap .22 range pistol under $350

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but .22 pistols can be picky. The more you pay, (sometimes) the better performance - but competition grade pistols easily run $750 and up.
I use a SIG Trailside made by Hämmerli in Switzerland - these were imported as an entry level competition pistol at the $600 or so price point - and I gave about $500 for a used example. I use it for competition in the Rimfire League at CCSC, and it is my 'loaner' pistol for my CCW students who desire to borrow a gun. It runs well, but all I feed it is CCI Standard Velocity.
The truth is that the cheapest .22 ammo is going to have more misfires. And some rimfire guns are just finicky. Your best bet is to shoot different guns and see what you like. We have the above noted SIG, a Beretta NEOS, a Tactical Solutions .22 Slide on a Glock 22 frame, and a S&W Target model revolver in .22. If you want to come out and shoot my guns sometime, just let me know.

The Glock 44 is ‘ ok ‘ if you plan to practice drawing and mag changes and you already have a belt rig setup for a Glock 17 or 19.
I bought one the week they came out, it ran flawless for 4,000 rounds. Then it blew the extractor and split the slide.
Sent it back to Glock on a Monday morning, the following Monday fed ex delivered me a replacement pistol.
Only 400 rounds thru this one. No jams, shoots a bit tighter groups than the first.
Very disappointing for the price, but Glock covered it. Just sucks knowing next time it happens it will be out of the warranty period most likely.

When a Glock 19 holds 15 rounds, a .22 with the same size mag should hold 18-20 minimum.
I lost my shhoting buddy and a friend of over 30 years to a stroke last year, so I too need more friends that shoot. Here's an offer: come out to Boulder City, I will take you to the range (free for members and their guests) and you can shoot my S&W Victory and a Phoenix .22 (so you can see the difference between inexpensive and cheap). Then you may stop by Mr. Pawn in BC. They have the best prices and a pretty good selection.
