I had a .308 Garand eons ago that needed rebarreling. Never got around to it and sold it. I've been wanting another one ever since.

This way, I get a new one to go with my AR-10 and M1A, Dave gets his 'baby' back, and I can eliminate the need for stockpiling .30-06 ammo.

Congrats that is one nice WRA M1 Garand
Nice Buy. Been watching this too with a very, very itchy "I'll take it" finger. Great price for this rifle! I have an HRA receiver .308 Garand purchased from the CMP a few years ago. Can't say this enough, but a .308 Garand is a very, very nice shooter. I frankly don't know why .308 Garands are not more popular as practical shooting guns. (And I get it that they are not pseudo collectable like the 30-06 Garands are.)
