Back on point, does anyone here know of any entry level IT positions? Looking for at least 35k.

Just graduated from UNLV with a BSBA in MIS. Looking for a company where I can work my way up.

If anyone knows someone or has any good leads, PM me! :bigviolent:

Thanks!

Joe
Look at the State website. There were TONS of IT spots level I to level V when I checked it.

I believe I checked those out and they were outside the Las Vegas area. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem but I have a house / fiancee. So, I'm sort of stuck in Vegas. =(

I'll double check again though.

Thanks!

Have you ever pulled cable before? I'm looking to have some drops installed.
Can't say that I have. Also, on the programming front, I am currently learning C# but I am no where near ready to accept a position for it. I think I am still another 2-3 months out before I will be comfortable enough to start looking for a programming position.

Right now, I'm thinking a basic IT position or an entry level network engineer position are my best bet.

Well, just got let go today! had a bad feeling this was coming as I've seen others leaving and heard rumors that the company was not profitable, so I was let go and a lower wage guy moved into my position (good luck) as half the crap I knew was memorized. Anyways, I was the head of shipping so basically anything having to do with shipping products I know about. I used Fedex, UPS, GSO and Ontrac. I was working for a Compounding pharmacy so most of the stuff was Pharmaceutical and very pricey. Also have experience in,

Construction (built dairies in California for 4 years, tile, Sheetrock, plumbing)
Automotive (basic repairs)
Some basic electrical
I guess I should mention some knowledge in firearms
I can do a lot if I'm just shown how

I was recently thinking about starting my own auto detailing business but there are so many although from what I've seen they all suck and I would never let them touch my truck, I don't even let the dealership do the courtesy wash.

I detail my own car, but I couldn't make any money doing that. It takes me 3-4 days to do my car, which is why it only gets done once every year or two or three.

If you get good products and are very efficient, it could be a fairly "cheap" start up business. There is a guy in the UK who details exotic cars, he charges thousands per car, but then he uses some wax that is over $5K a container.

I use http://www.griotsgarage.com/

Krap! sorry to hear the bad news Mike.
I'll keep an eye out for you.
I don't understand this economy, some are doing well and many are struggling.
It's got to get back to "normal", I hope.

If your good at it and can get your name out there it can be profitable for sure. I have seen people pay $120.00 for a detail that I wouln't pay $25.00 for. I learned all the tricks and techniques when I got my truck, It was my first new car so I wanted the best for it, even had a whole house filter put in because of the hard water here its impossible not to get water spots.

This is more of a feeler for now. My wife just found out that there is a very high chance she will be out of a job this fall or next fall. She has her Masters plus 32 (one step below doctorate) in school counseling. She has an insane work ethic like me which means she gives her all and always goes above and beyond. She is a quick learner and a great shot.
Does anyone here know of anything that might fit her? I know it might be a long shot but I figured I would ask.

We have recently started talking about moving to Arizona or Colorado again. I may even look into Utah or perhaps further north. I hate the cold though which is why I moved from Wisconsin. Lol. Texas is another option, anyway let me know and if you have suggestions I am all ears.

Thanks

House cleaning

My wife is starting a small one person house/apartment/building cleaning service. She's using only natural cleaners to help promote the earth first, no harsh chemicals unless mother nature made it. We are in North LV so we can get anywhere pretty quickly.

I recently got an armed security card. I have almost 2 years unarmed experience in event, commercial, and residential. If anyone has any suggestions for good companies (hiring or not) feel free to PM me the company names. After looking through Craig's list there seem to be a lot of places paying less for an armed position than I currently make at my unarmed job.

I will be heading back to Nevada after finishing up gunsmithing school at Trinidad State Junior College. I will be back in Nevada around June 18. I am a Glock Certified Armorer, and will be taking an AR-15 armorers course in 2 weeks. I am looking for a job as a gunsmith. I would prefer northern Nevada (Reno area) as that is where I was born, but would be willing to relocate to other parts of Nevada if the opportunity arises. I am interested in repair work, but I have a broad general knowledge of most aspects of gunsmithing. I have re-barrelled and chambered both a Mauser as well as a post 64 Winchester Model 70. I have also made wood stocks for both of them, one from a blank, and one from a semi-inlet that I duplicated myself. I have 2 years experience on both a lathe and a vertical mill. I have experience hot bluing, Belgium bluing (express rust bluing), as well as polishing both by hand and on a buffing wheel. I am aware that just coming out of school, I don't know everything, but I am hoping to work for an established shop to further my knowledge.

***looking for a person that can install a doggie door at my bosses new house. He requested someone with cabinet experience. Location is in southern highlands and may require the moving or removal of a outlet. Finished product needs to look great no half ass.
Also invoice would need to be billed versus onsite.
If you have the skills let me know via PM a price(estimate) and we can meet. Needed ASAP but done during regular business hours.
