Work Search

I am currently living and working in Las Vegas but have been trying to relocate my family to the Reno/Carson City area for about a year now but need to secure employment first before moving. I have worked for the Las Vegas Review Journal for nine years now and I am an Industrial Maintenance Technician. If any of you good people up north have a line on a manufacturing plant in need of a millwright/maintenance mechanic/tech, I would surely appreciate any info. Thanks

Searching for work

I'm a medical assistant looking for a part/full time job in Las Vegas.1 1/2 years experience at a chiropractic office untill it closed down. I'm trying to stay in the medical field but honestly I'm open to start fresh in a new profession as well. If any of my fellow Nevada Shooters have ANY leads, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Maybe this can help someone

So I've had 3 different people tell me Helix Electric is hiring for experienced and entry level positions. Could be true,or maybe just a rumor, but I still applied and have no previous experience so Ill wait 'n see. Maybe someone with experience will have better luck

Not sure if this will appeal to anybody but a friend has informed me that zappos is hiring for their customer service dept. Pay isn't stellar but they offer great benefits.

Dang if they had an opening(s) it's filled as I didn't see an opening on their website. I've read pieces on their CEO and the company culture and it seems like a great place to work.

Ah bummer! I had applied and been contacted for an interview but at that point I already started my job at ecolab for higher pay. Otherwise I would've gone for it. I've heard nothing but good things about working there.

i have a couple of friends that work at zappos. your first 30 days is doing customer service no matter what your position in the company is. benefits are great, they are very focused on keeping their employees happy. if you're a very straight-laced business professional type, you may be turned off at some of the corporate culture there as they fully embrace letting the employees be as weird as they want to be. one of their interview questions is "how weird are you?"

One would hope that they pay heavily in gold considering the markup they have there. :eek:hmy::scared::eekrun:

Wow didnt know this site had looking for job or help wanted. I got laid off from pitney bowes feb of this year. Great job and good pay but cut backs had to be made. We delt with mail sorting and mail insertion machines repairing and maintaining for citi corp on sahara and durango. If you guys hear about any openings in the Electronic or even in the gaming field for electro-mechanical techs that would be great to hear.

I got a Bachelors in automated manufacturing and AA in Electronic engineering, with work history in the gaming and manufacturing also used to moonlight as armed security for keylargo casino when they were around.

Just a little info on my background/history:

Shift Lead for a technical crew responsible for installation, setup, preventative maintenance, service and repair of large scale multi-million dollar industrial electro-mechanical equipment. Utilizing broad skills in mechanical systems, computers, electronics, and networking to administer high dollar value SLA to a large international Fortune 100 financial institution.
- Resolving setup and repair requests as part of a team of on-site service vendors. Cooperatively delivering equipment uptime of 96% and above in a facility with up to 1.5 million piece per day total output.
- Communicating with customer shift supervisors and team members to identify and complete service objectives and training on schedule.
- Consistently assuming additional responsibilities and working overtime whenever requested to do so to meet quality goals and project deadlines.
- Mentoring less experienced team members, providing training, documentation, and guidance on recommended service repair techniques.
- Commended by Site Manager for inventory control and excellence in customer service. Awarded employee of the month several times for contributions resulting in customer surveys reporting 100% totally satisfied with vendor services.

Anything would be good at this point just need to start working again, ammo can get expensive if you like to shoot alot like me lol.
